Week 12:
Auburn
TCU
Oregon
Boise State
LSU
Wisconsin
Stanford
Ohio State
Michigan State
Oklahoma State
The 1-loss teams are getting hard to separate. Several teams there that could beat anyone. Wisconsin and Stanford might be the two hottest teams in the country right now. No one is playing better, and they could be on a collision course in the Rose Bowl.
Credit to LSU for pulling out wins, but they’re just not an elite team.
Still not sure what to do with Boise and TCU, but I’m done giving them the benefit of the doubt based on being unbeaten. At least a couple of the one loss teams just plain look as good or better than they do against tougher competition.
Also: read earlier this week that if Oregon and Auburn were matched up next week, Oregon would be (iirc) a 9 point favorite.
*pending the inevitable vacating of all wins this season
Poll results so far:
No others receiving votes.
A shakeup weekend for me. I still think Boise St. is better than most teams in the country so they stay in the Top 10 and above Nevada who’s beaten almost nobody of note other than Boise.
Stanford is the only team looking more dominant than Wisconsin right now.
Iowa has been severely overrated this year.
Boise State and LSU lose but are still top 10 teams.
Do I have to vote past #2? A linear vote does not represent my opinion properly
