Alright, I see the threads here all the time. And I know Diplomacy is a board game that is tremendously complicated but is popular in Play By Email form. But I’d like to find out more about it. Links, etc. are most welcome.
Here is a link to my Diplomacy webpage which includes links to online reference sources. If you click on the link to the game called “George”, you can watch an animation of the entire game that I put together. Also Dip is not tremendously complicated, it’s the simplest game you’ll ever play. The people you play with are complicated.
Not to be a pain in the ass, but it’d be pretty damn simple to do a search for threads. There’s quite alot of them.
If you’re curious about Diplomacy itself, ask a question, if you’re curious about how it integrates into the SDMB…well, the aforementioned search would be the best bet.
Thank you very much, I’ll have a look around.
Its not actually that complicated - its very logical. If you take a look at the Newbie Diplomacy thread (which i’m currently playing abysmally in) then you’ll find links etc. to the rules, strategy guides etc. etc.
If you read the thread from the beginning and look at the map as the turns change then you’ll pick it up pretty quickly too.
