UncleRojelio, I thought your son was playing professional the way you put that, until I saw the pic. Unless the pros start a lot younger wherever you are… where is that?
Heh, not quite yet. I guess I should have added the U11 part. He plays for a soccer club here in the Austin (Texas, US) area.
What’s the Division I part mean, if I may inquire?
I’m sure there is much more to this, but as far as I understand, once youth players reach the U11 age bracket, they are eligible to play competitive soccer. Competitive in that instead of playing other teams in the same club, they travel to matches with other clubs. Competitive soccer teams are ranked into the Premier, Division 1, Super 2, and Division 2 levels. Championships in competitive soccer escalate up to the national level. This is our first year playing competitive soccer so I’m sure I’m missing alot.
