Since the contact never got back to you, an alternative would be for you to set up a Gofundme–and you could make the decision about the split between the event and the religious group–for those who have not contributed yet.

My deepest sympathy.

Oh my goodness. I just caught up with this. I am so very sorry. :frowning:

I’m sorry - my contact was on vacation and I didn’t realize he’d replied to me a few days ago. Unfortunately, this is his response:

There really isn’t an efficient way for us to track this at Cook Forest if they donate to the event on-line. If they truly want to donate to the event, the best way is if they send a check/money order written out to either the ‘Pennsylvania Parks & Forests Foundation’ or ‘PPFF’ for short with ‘Cook F&I’ written in the memo and sent to:

Cook Forest State Park
ATTN: Cook F&I
P.O. Box 120
Cooksburg, PA 16217

We’ll know exactly how much they want donated, and donated where. We have several PPFF accounts for Cook Forest. They’ll receive a donation thank-you letter directly from us acknowledging it’s a tax deductible donation. PPFF will only send an acknowledgement if the donation is greater than a certain amount.

Sorry for the confusion, but snail mail is still the best way to make sure their donation goes into the correct pot.

My alternate suggestions would be Animal Friends (because I just got my first cat from there) or any historic site.

Thank you all for asking about this.
