I met both of you in Bowling Green, KY when you came down to Beach Bend. Take care of yourself and I hope ruble is up and at 'em in time for the next Electric Amish show.

I’m going to post updates in just this thread and not try to keep track of the MMP.

I just got back from the hospital again. They’ve plugged more things into him, including a catheter directly into his heart to monitor the oxygen in the heart, he’s got 10 medications going into IVs, they went from sedation to full paralysis to get his blood pressure up so a machine is breathing for him (as it’s been since he got there), and they’ve changed/added meds since I was there earlier.

I also learned he has a fractured sternum (and rib?) from the aggressive CPR, and he dislocated his hip when he fell out of bed and landed in an awkward position (the hip is now back in the socket and they think it’s OK). He also aspirated into his lungs and they are assuming he has or will get pneumonia, so there’s another medication, They’re also cooling his blood for 48 hours to try to preserve brain function. However, they’ve figured he was down for a total of approximately an hour between my attempts, the paramedics and the ER doctors and they are not optimistic. The doctors are being honest with me and I told them that’s what I want.

The good news is that his kidneys are functioning and he’s peeing well, so I guess that’s something.

And I’m getting mighty pissed that his brother – his only sibling – has not yet returned any of my phone calls to 2 different numbers (just needed to vent).

Please keep the good thoughts, prayers, warm fuzzies, etc. coming.

Please don’t post this on FB or other message boards, although I came home to a VM from a friend suggesting that this may have already happened.

Oh no OW. Love me some Kopek. He is tough and will fight, knowing him from just the MMP. Please if there is anything I can do from South Florida send me a PM and consider it done.
