This suggestion comes up every year I think.
The answer is that popularity contests are dumb, divisive, encourages cliques and end up in bad feeling all round. Un-popularity contest are even worse.
So the answer to the OP is no, here is no chance of this getting taken up by the mods.

Hey, wait a second - I want my award for “Most Average Doper Who Never Gets Any Recognition For Being One of the Masses Who Doesn’t Make Any Trouble And Tries To Make a Solid Contribution to This Board”. I’m going to ask the Mods to close this, but before I do I’d like to know what was so bad? I mean, I occasionally disagree with your posts, but for the most part I think you’re a good man.
I would like to nominate myself as High Supreme Something (HS2 for those who know). Anyone who supportd me will be Second Higest Supreme Something (2HS2) This will make almost everyone an equal with me pulling ahead just a little bit. As I am a just and fair Tyrant I feel this is a good deal. I will in a fair and just manor rule over you all with a whimsical flick of the thumb. I would never keep you under my thumb. That’s bad. I would only boil in olive oil or canola oil. Never lard. Chollesterol is an important health issue.
On News year day I would allow you all to eat oranges, but only Florida oranges. Califonia ones must be squeezed until they are dry. Then the juice dripped on Julia Dreyfus. or something. I’m not sure yet.

Nah, I’ll just close it now, and leave you with the relevant link. No harm done, Meatros, just not a very good idea. It was done a few times in the past, and whilst most people had fun with it, others obviously took things rather personally (not necessarily referring to the thread I just linked, BTW). It’s not something we’d like to do again, sorry.
