Least Likely To Be Named Moderator.
The Marble Moartarboard Award, given each year to the Doper who has made the finest contributions to the world of Dopedom. Fashioned after Slug Signorino’s depiction of Cecil Adams as a turkey wearing a mortarboard, this attractive yet extremely heavy award is suitable for wall mounting, assuming you have reinforced walls.
I’d like to have categories for:
1.) The Silliest Doper
2.) The Doper Who’s Flirted in the Most Fora
I mean, really. How else am I going to have a chance in hell of winning any kind of Wally? :0)
But to add to the list:
1.) Most Patient Doper in the face of unwavering ignorance–I’d nominate tomndebb
2.) Most Feared Doper–[giggle] I’d have to nominate Collounsbury, although I still don’t understand why Dopers are afraid of him. He’s such a sweetie.
3.) Doper With the Best Sig
Um, yeah, thanks Opal, I was just gonna say that this sort of thing has, historically speaking, frequently ended in tears. I know of at least one senior SDMB poster who was so hurt by what she was voted during one of the “popularity contest” go-rounds that she left the Boards and was gone for a LONG time. And IMO she was sorely missed.
Given that, I must respectfully decline to be a judge in the Best Pit Rant contest.
As is sometimes the case with me, I run with something I find funny without thinking about the ramifications. I wasn’t looking for NOMINEES, I was looking for fun CATEGORIES.
DDG, as usual you’re right. Ditto for Opal. My apologies, I was NOT trying to be exclusionary in any way, just trying to have a spot of fun.

I kick ass at that, I seem to kill close to 100% of the threads where I choose to post, but I am sure that others may want to compete for this dubious title.
I vote for the Most and Least Potty-Mouthed Posters, and the Fast Fingered Newbie Award for posters who jumped on the board and stacked up post counts like an express elevator. How about one for least posts with a long time membership? Say a year or more.
