Mine arrived today! Nice surprise on a gloomy day. Thank you, Avarie, how did you know I’m so fond of nutcrackers? They’re a blown glass nutcracker and Santa Claus, and they’re hanging on the tree as I post. They’re so pretty!
Those two things are just so classically “Christmas” to me. Glad you like them!
Finally made it to the PO as a customer this morning! You would think as someone who spends so much time there it would be easier, but nooooo. Anyway, my package sent sent out…sorry for the tardiness.
And yes, Tikki, I plan to post a picture of the ornament…it’s so beautiful. May I ask where you got it?
Oh, and I also got monkeys in my package. How can anyone not love a box full of monkeys and a Christmas ornament?

It’s still Christmas Eve where I am for another hour, and I just want to thank Mama Zappa for coordinating the Doper ornament exchange! It was great fun to give, to receive, and to read about all the other exchanges.

I am very happy that you like them, and the candy treats as well. Your cats are maybe smelling faaar away cats and pomeranians, as I am alwayssurrounded whenever I am working on anything interesting like wrapping and packaging.

I can understand this. I had a sister who worked at a library for years. You’d think that would mean our books were never overdue, wouldn’t you? Nuh uh! Ain’t no way!
I hope all the monkeys’ tails arrived intact. I know they’re thin and brittle plastic so that’s why I included two of each color. I just thought they would be something fun to add.
As for the ornament itself, I got it at a gardening store a Christmas or two ago. I love blown glass and can’t resist pretty ornaments like that. I’m glad you liked it!

Many thanks to EvilAsh for my ornament, which arrived today! It’s a snowman head that’s also a jingle bell; our cockatiel loves it! (He’s right next to the tree.) I was a little worried about the amount of rattling the package was doing, but that just turned out to be an assortment of Hershey’s kisses (including the dark ones; EvilAsh must have done some homework on me!). And there’s no such thing as too much chocolate at Casa Scarlett!

A quick update - I won’t list who all has sent/received, but if my notes are correct, everyone has sent their ornament. And everyone has reported receiving one except for DiosaBellissima and Kaiwik. The ornament was sent to kaiwik on 21 Dec so it should be arriving soon. The ornament was sent to DiosaBellissima on the 20th; hopefully it’s arrived or will arrive any day now.
If there are any other ornaments MIA, let me know.
This has been lots of fun. I was happy to organize this year’s swap and I’ll prolly volunteer to do it again next year (enlightened self-interest, dontcha know!).
