Sounds interesting - any chance of a photo?
I haven’t mailed an ornament yet but I went to a craft fair today.
Dangerous, dangerous place. Lots of ornament options. And other lovely things. I really, really wanted a quilt I saw… and it was absolutely worth the price (the workmanship was exquisite)… 1500 dollars isn’t too much, is it? (fortunately sanity - and the desire to make next month’s mortgage payment - prevailed).

My attempt to make homemade ornaments this year was truely sad. I had issues with the paint being too thick or too thin and not sticking to the glass. =( I probably need to start a thread asking for crafty-help =)
Anyways - sent one in the mail to my person! And, as a bonus, you can tie a ribbon to the top of the xmas card and hang on your tree too! You should have it just in time for xmas.
I received my ornament from hocow yesterday – a white glass ornament commemorating her hometown’s history. Thanks! (And the card survived just fine . . . hee hee!)
(I started taking guitar lessons recently, and there’s a song that I’ve been practicing that’s in my head quite a bit. See if you can guess which one it is, hocow . . . )
I just dropped mine off at the P.O., so it will soon be winging its way south via Priority Mail.
Ornament both sent and received as of today.
It is a really nice one, and I got it yesterday. Thank you very much. Now all I need is to get the tree up so I can put it on there.
Oh, and how did you know I love those peppermint bark squares? Thank you for the candy, too.
And btw, I sent mine. Should be there Monday. The recipient will be sharing a bit of what’s going into my kids’ stockings, too.

To the recipient: no, I have not in fact mailed you two boxes of generic Prilosec antacids 
those were simply the only boxes I could find that would protect the ornaments and still fit in a padded mailer.
I have received one as well, though I haven’t opened the package yet - saving that for when I’d sent mine off and we actually have the Christmas tree set up (tonight, probably).
I opened my ornament tonight, from CrazyCatLady, and it’s a seriously cute bead+wire dragonfly that she made with her own two hands! I wish I were that creative!!

You mean Shenandoah? Haha, that’s what I was thinking originally, but then thirdwarning said she knew, so I thought maybe it was related to my screen name. Turns out, thirdwarning knew where I lived as she sent me my ornaments!
I got a very cute set of onion and garlic ornaments. She also packed some peppermint candies, Hershey kisses, and (I love you for these) Candy cane kisses.
