Doper parents: do you get your kids Valentine's gifts?

My parents always got me something for Valentine’s Day. My dad even occasionally still buys me a rose on not-Valentine’s Day. From the gas station, while he’s out buying beer, but whatever.

My mom already has 2 gifts bought for my 1-year-old niece for Valentine’s Day.

I buy something for my friend’s kid on V-Day every year, because I figure she gets a ton of gifts on her birthday and Christmas and she’s too young to appreciate them all anyway, so I don’t even bother then.

My first year away from home my parents came to visit a couple of weeks before Valentine’s Day. On Valentine’s Day my mom emailed me asking if I’ve checked in the cabinet of the side table lately. I hadn’t, as I just stored old gaming stuff in there, so I opened it up and there was a bag of Valentine’s treats in there. She had planted it when they visited earlier! She knew I wouldn’t look in there unless prompted to.

That’s very cool!

I don’t have kids, but I’ve been one; my mom used to always get us candy/stuffed animals for Valentine’s Day.

My Mommy is the bestest. I forgot some of my Christmas presents back at their place, so she mailed them to me. At the time I had a bad case of bronchitis, so she included some chocolates and a cute get well soon card!
