Doper Parents- When did you know you were ready for kids?

You are on Ravelry, no? If not, sign thee up! Patterns galore!
As for good, simple, kids patterns, I’m partial to Debbie Bliss (can’t recommend one in particular). Zoe Mellor has some cute ones as well (but I’ve never knit any of hers)

If all goes smoothly, making the decision that “now is the time” may be the hardest part! (until Baby arrives. . . )

I just signed up to Ravelry! I am still poking around in there, but you’re right, the amount of patterns is almost overwhelming. I think I’ll try a hooded scarf for this winter.

I will of course let you all know the second I get preggers, how could I not?

I was just wondering, how do you try to have a girl?

Easy! Have sex without protection. The average fertile couple has a 50% chance of having a girl, assuming they get pregnant.

A kindly usher in church last weekend told us we should have a boy, (apparently our two girls aren’t enough) and that to do so I should drink lots of milk the week we . . .you know . . .conceive. Has to do with the pH.
Right.

It’s so simple, I should have known!

To answer Hampshire, Mr. Elysium’s statement was more wishful thinking than anything. He thinks a bunch of girls would be great but a boy would be a menace. I tell him that girls can be downright cruel but I don’t think he believes me.

He’ll see.
