I just came back to say that I didn’t meet my husband through a personal ad. We actually met via a mutual friend last November at an Ohio State football game. The first thing he ever said to me was, “you’re beautiful.” Not “hello” or “nice to meet you”, just “you’re beautiful,” with this dumbfounded, poleaxed sort of look. It was all very cute. In February, we were engaged. In April, he moved from California back to Ohio to be with me. In July, we were married.
I don’t know - personal ads may work great for some people, but not me. I met a lot of people; some of whom became great friends that I’m still in contact with today. Some of the others, though… shudders …that could be its own thread.
You look like that, are English, and you’re blushing? You’re just trying to make yourself as cute as possible, aren’t you?
I have to imagine that would be an interesting thread… come on, you know you want to. Curious minds must know.

Also nice sweater. I know that can be a very time consuming task. If my daughter did that for me, Id be in 7th heaven. Im contemplating a pic of mrrealtime, possibly even mrs realtime…but I have been working to maintain a veil of secrecy or I’ll get pummelled for all my obnoxious posts. I’ll have to come to terms with it eventually.
