Doper towns! Show me yours, I'll show you mine.

It may not be a town, but Google gives us a lot more of Botley!!

Nice pics!

But, I’m a little surpeised you don’t have any from SBC Park. Or is there a page 2 I’m missing.

Well, SF in tiny; seven miles by seven miles. I guess for a coupla high-rise dorms popping up around SF State University and Lake Merced, most of the very tall buildings are downtown. There are laws in place to prevent buildings over X feet high within X feet of the shoreline in certain areas, after a pair of apartment buildings rose up at the foot of Van Ness (Fontana West and East), blocking a fantastic view of the Golden Gate form a good portion of the wharf area.

I have a few here and there. Here’s one batch.

Here are some more (mostly) San Francisco pictures.

Here in Kentucky, there’s a photographer named James Archambeault who does a better job of this than can I. Have a look.

Here is a neat site that goes to photos of Chicago. (Link goes to panorama of the skyline with the lake.)

My fellow San Franciscan JJ covered my original hometown very well, but I had a hard time coming up with photos of the town I largely grew up in, Petaluma, California. In lieu of that, I found this neat photo album of a trip up the Petaluma River (which isn’t a river at all, really, it’s a slough, part of San Francisco Bay). The pictures don’t actually show any of Petaluma (which is a real place, I swear, with streets and houses and snotty teenagers in cafes), but that’s what the area looks like.

Sure, **Kyla]/b], whatever you say.

Glendale, California is where I was born and raised and it will always be “home.”

Here is a couple decent pictures of Denver. The first is one of the best skyline pictures of downtown I’ve seen, but I’m trying to see if there is a more complete gallery anywhere.

Here are some touristy kind of pictures of Auckland

I wish I had a camera so I could take some pictures myself, but alas, these websites will have to do.

Current residence: Malibu, CA.

Home: Gulfport, MS. (Not the best pictures, sorry.)

Here are some photos I took of my local area… I’ll try to put some more up soon, these aren’t very varied.

No time to put together an album or anything for you folk. But this view is about a 30 minute hike from my dorm.

I see sunsets like this just about every night.

And This is one of the first images that came up when I Googled my “real” hometown. :frowning:

Here’s another Victoria. They’re all pretty scenery - some taken on the ferry between Victoria and the mainland, some taken from my balcony and some taken down at the beach about a 5-minute walk from my place.

I’ve got several pictures of Tucson, AZ (most of which are from inside the wash–the ditch tunnel through which runoff from monsoon season, well, runs–please don’t think this is representative of above-ground Tucson) and the University of Arizona here. More (non-ditch) pictures coming fairly soon (whenever I stop being so lazy and upload them).

Cool pix, Lobsang. I’m dying to visit IOM and check out where my Curphy ancestors came from.

Those pics are just the ones I found lying around at work. The Isle of Man has some amazing scenery that photographs can never do justice to.

When I get home I’ll probably upload some of the better ones.
