I’ve been trying to get on the boards since Saturday to say that my Valentines won’t arrive until next week, but by some weird twist of fortune, every time I’ve tried, the boards have been down. So, the people on my list will all receive some lovely handmade bookmarks with pretty calligraphy sometime next week (or later, as I am suspicious of my mailperson.)
The Valentines that I’ve gotten, though, are all wonderful. I’ve developed a healthy fear of glitter after opening some on the bus and covering myself with sparklies. Oh, the sparklies! The terror! Big flakes of glory, coming to smite me! Ye gods!
Well, I finally was successful in getting my list two days ago; bought the stuff to make them last night (you can’t buy actual valentine cards this long after the fact:)), and will, hopefully, mail my first batch today. All the cards have been very cool (you Dopers sure do like your confetti, don’t you? ) It might take me a few days to get all of them finished and out the door, but, looking on the bright side, some of you may still be getting valentine greetings into March!

Thanks so much everyone for the good vibes this month! I have some more to send out since my list had some addresses missing and I ask forgiveness about the delay. Maybe we should do this for St. Patrick’s Day, too!?

I haven’t posted a card by card update, but I have a whole shelf full of wonderful cards that just makes my day. I went out and got flowers to put with them, they were so perfect! Thanks, everyone!!!
Not only incredibly not lame, but such a great idea, I might do the same, myself. I’ve not been able to bear getting rid of them, but have been undecided exactly what to do with them!
