I went to buy valentine cards, and realized I needed to allow enough lead time for you creative folk (directly, or via child labor) to make your cards.
So I’ll send out the lists in the next few days. Anybody who signs up later this week will be included in a follow-up email on Sunday.
(Follow-up: The gender-nonspecific player has been confirmed as a female. Just in case anybody else was keeping count. There’s still one player of unknown gender.)
I’m not much with handmade Valentines, but the computer geek in me has concocted a Straight Dope themed special Valentine for everyone on my list. You’ll know it when you see it…
…'cause it’s a Dope kinda Love.
Nope, she is all mine. I am going to miss her when she goes to preschool. I may have to lounge about the house and wait to clean when she comes home from those half days, just so she can help.
I sent out the Big Fat Mailing List last night to the people who wanted the entire list. At that point 49 (!!!) people had signed up…
… and I think the list only had 48 of them. Oopsie. I’ll send out an update tonight, which will include Hazeus.
I split the big list into four regional sub-lists. With cross-region mixing and matching, each person’s list will have around 25 people on it. I’ll be sending out those lists tonight or tomorrow.
Sign-ups are open through this Saturday, and will be distributed to balance numbers. I’ll send out updated lists Sunday.
Yup, thanks Scuba Ben! (BTW, I noted your address with some interest – I work about 10 minutes from there, up by Broad Axe. Maybe we should get together for a Microdope sometime – coffee at the food court at Plymouth Meeting, mayhaps?)
I haven’t the time to make my own this year as I did in the past, but mine will be hand signed, hand addressed, and the envelope flap will be licked with my very own tongue. Yep, you’ll receive my personal DNA from my personal spit!
On a more serious note, Scuba_ben, I just received notification that someone attempted to send me the mydoom virus. This makes me a little concerned about your email you will be sending out with the list of names on it. Do you know of a method of sending that reduces the risk of viruses? If you put the list in the body of the email rather than as an attachment, will that reduce the risk?
