I’m sending out the mailing list as a plain old text file.
I use a Mac. Not even virus writers support the Mac.
Still, please patch your home systems, and scan the file before you open it. Always practice safe intercourse!

I have no free time to make my own valentines SOOOOOO… you will just have to enjoy store-bought and like it!! Neener neener!
If I had more time, I’d make my own sigh. I’m very creative toot toot (my horn) and it sucks that I can’t use my hands. Yes, signing the cards, licking the envelopes, that’s personal but you know what I mean.
By the way, I should warn everyone right now that my valentines are about 90% certain to be store-bought because I am the world’s least craft-y person. I’ll try to at least include something personal with them, though.
The 10% chance is if my GF decides to get involved and help, which she might; she loves this kind of stuff. (And by “help,” I mean “take over the entire project for me.”)
If anyone is worried about store-bought valentine cards, stop worrying. I’d be tickled to death to get even those little Scooby-Doo-grade-school-type valentine cards!
I’m looking forward to this! I made mine from a combination of store-bought cards and hand work – nothing fancy, but fun to do.

Each “short” list is about 25 people – 10 from your part of the country, 10 who are on all lists, and 5 from somewhere else in the country. I’m starting on the short lists now.
I haven’t got my list either. If the e-mail address I sent you bounced, post here, and I’ll e-mail you again. I do tend to be cursed when it comes to Valentine’s Day.
I got the list yesterday – because I asked for the “all” list. I believe that’s the only one he’s sent out; he wanted to give us overambitious types a bit of a head start if we’re creating our valentines.
I’m sure he’ll be along soon to correct me if I’m wrong.

If you don’t have your list, please email me and I’ll resend you your list. Each short list is 25 or 26 people, depending on geography. Everybody has 10 or 11 people in their area (which may include a foreigner), plus 5 or 6 from the other side of the country, plus 9 who are on all lists.

Count me in! This sounds like fun. There’s nothing nicer than getting mail, especially Valentines. I can’t promise great creativity, but my heart will be in every card (not literally, mind you!).
I spent about an hour last night addressing envelopes. Tonight I’ll have a lick-a-thon and tomorrow, it’s off to the post office, since I ran out of stamps and I have no idea what the out-of-country postage will cost.
I haven’t written so much by hand in longer than I can remember! I hope you all appreciate the effort that went into, um, writing and licking. Not that I expect thanks, because I do it all for love. No, really…
