My printer is happily churning out the last batch of mine! Some of you will get a hand-written message, due to my damned ink cartridge running out the other night. It’s all nice and homey for you, but my wrist hurts from trying to write so much legibly!
Oh wait - it’s not the last batch of mine! I decided to go for the personally-designed computer-printed Valentines, and I only bought a package of 50 cards (thinking that it would be plenty). So the last few folks on the list may be a little late in receiving theirs, but they should be mailed on Wednesday at the latest.
Personally, I signed my real name and doper name, to avoid confusion.
Ah - “printing complete”! Gotta get them puppies ready to go to work with me in the morning. I am so looking forward to fun stuff in the mail.
So, that means I missed someone on this list. I printed out the lists I received in e-mail, so I guess I must have accidently deleted an e-mail. I know I had asked you to not add any more after the first big list came to me, Scuba, but I feel sad that I’m leaving someone out.
To whoever it is: nothing personal.
Eventually, I might cross ref thru this thread, but not right now…
I’m going to be out of town on the 14th - in fact, I’m leaving on the 12th and returning on the 16th, so I expect I’ll have a stack of envelopes awaiting me upon my return. Yay! They will be the driving force keeping me happy on the long drive south on I-95.
I am awed and humbled by the creativity on display here … I just sent cards - clip art, printer, card, envelope, it all seemed quite straightforward at the time. Oh, well, it’s the thought that counts, isn’t it? (He says, hopefully.)
Absolutely! IIRC, last year at least 3/4 of the people did store-bought cards, which is perfectly fine. Clip art definitely counts as making your own! The point is to have fun and be silly and get lots and lots of mail.
My postman just asked me if I was participating in one of those pyramid schemes-- you know send a dollar to everyone on your list type deals. He chuckled when I told him what was in those envelopes was more valuable than money – it was love for a bunch of stangers from the internet.
Dantheman, be careful opening anyting from Seige. She said she performed some type of ancient Sumerian ritual which imprisoned an evil spirit in one of the words on your card. I asked for the spell and sent a similar demon to VivaLosTwages. All in the name of good Christian fun, don’t you know.
