So, as I asked in the other thread - Aug 2 or Aug 16? Suggestions for restaurants or part of town? Who’s gonna be attending? Shall we all wear hats?

I work downtown and would be delighted to join you for lunch some place close.
If it were a Saturday, I would definitely be interested in coming down for a girl’s lunch out. Can’t do the 2nd or 9th (beginning and end of my week at the shore), but could do the 16th. My “let’s go to the Visionary Art Museum” proposal never flew, but, IIRC, FCM expressed interest – if we piggybacked that on, I’d be there with bells on.
What say y’all?

Lunch - location - maybe in the Federal Hill Area? Or someplace in Harbor Place? Any other suggestions?
Then whoever wants to shall adjourn to the Visionary Art Museum
Then we can go back to my boat - it’s just a couple of blocks down Key Highway - or not.

I don’t know Baltimore at all, so pls. pick somewhere not too obscure to meet. I could probably find the Inner Harbor – isn’t there a farmer’s market type place down there? Then the museum, definitely.
Now – hats – I’ve got a straw hat – but for truly distinctive headwear, I’d have to go to baseball caps – like the turquoise one with a flamingo logo on it…
I’m in heaven! Lunch with the Doper Wimmens, the museum, the boat and then slosh it up with the rest of the MADs at dinner. Who could ask for anything more?
twickster if nothing else, you could meet me, leave your car near the art museum, and we could ride together to lunch if it’s not within walking distance of the Inner Harbor. There’s a small market in Federal Hill - I think it’s the Cross Street Market - dunno what’s there tho. I like Cooper’s Tavern in Fells Point too. I really need someone else to help come up with a lunch place, tho, as I haven’t lived in Balto in years, so I’m not as familiar as I could be.

I can’t do any day, either. We’ll be in Texas on the 2nd, and Aaron’s party is the 9th, and the 16th is Dopereal. The following weekend is orientation at school.

I don’t want to start any intra-city MAD rivalry or anything – but geez, Baltimoreans! I think Philly could probably get three Doper wimmens together without having to bring two of them in from out of town.

Okay. The 16th sounds good to me. I’m 90% sure I can wok it out. Our financial situation is tenuous right now, so whatever we do, the cheaper the better!
I’m always a big fan of cheap! Brown baggin’ works for me just as well as any restaurant. I see this being more about getting together and hanging out than about the food.

Fun and casual sounds good to me – I’d say potluck, but that requires someone to host and organize – let’s all just show up with our own sandwiches in some park somewhere and hang out and talk…
The 16th is great for me (it’s the only weekend in August that I’m not busy!:). I’ll be coming from Richmond, but I’ll probably drive up and stay with my best friend on Friday night so that I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn on Saturday. And I’m good with whatever everyone decides for lunch, etc. All I ask is that I get good directions so that I’m not driving around lost all morning:).
