Anita, the Water Taxi is a great deal, and I’m not just saying that because my hubby captains for them. For $6, you can ride all day, from Canton to Fells Point to Little Italy, to Harborplace, to Tide Point where you can catch the free jitney to Fort McHenry. (This is the one with the blue boats, incidentally, not the one with the green ones.)
Brown bagging on the boat is cool with me, chickie-babies! I can be hep, too! If the weather is nice, we can sit on the deck and lunch and chat and stuff. I’ll have a cooler full of ice and some sodas and enough cups for everyone. And it just happens that the Water Taxi stops at Harborview Marina, so we can ride around, mebbe stop at assorted other places, then get off at the Scupper and walk to the museum! Cheap thrills in Baltimore! And there’s parking nearby.
Guess that’s settled - just need a body count now.

No, no JC, I’m gonna shave really well, wash my hair, get myself a nice summer dress and sneak in! They will never notice. I don’t think they will notice that I’m tall, nor the tattoos. I’m not too sure if I’m up for washing my hair though. Maybe I’ll just come over and help you fix something after all.

OK, we’re 9 days away from this event - I’m assuming the interest hasn’t fizzled, and I want to bring this to the surface one more time for any who may have missed it earlier.
As it stands, here’s the plan:[ul][li]Meet at Harborview Marina some time between 11 and noon on Sat, Aug 16[/li][li]Bring your lunch. I’ll provide ice and some soft drinks.[/li][li]We’ll eat lunch aboard Wandering Star, then head out.[/li][li]Maybe ride the Water Taxi and see some wonders of the Inner Harbor[/li][li]… or walk to the American Visionary Art Museum and absorb some culture.[/li]Possibly mini-cruise on Wandering Star if the good captain gets the new water pump installation done. This would be a ride around the harbor for a little while…[/ul]I’ll be sending directions, so all attendees need to be sure I have your email. This event is open to all Doper Wimmens and it will wrap up before that evening’s MADinner. Yay!
