Dopers Names You Like To Say Out Loud

I sing Quiddity Glomfuster to the tune of a cartoon theme song. Buster (a rabbit) - friend of Arthur (the aardvark) has a show on PBS. Tune has kind of a reggae sound:

“Where ‘ya goin’ to BUST-ah?”

Quiddity GlomFUST-ah…

garygnu
I can’t see it without going throught the whole news intro in my head.
“No gnus is good gnus with Gary Gnu…”
I then frequently start singing the theme song to The Great Space Coaster .

Awww, thanks.

I wook up this morning singing WOOKINPANUB. I also like garygnu, but I frequently say the word gnu (rhymes with canoe).

I was going to change my typo, but it is pretty funny. See…it is still in my head.

The only one I can think of right now that I say aloud is Pseuditron Ruber Ruber. It has such a Bugs Bunny cartoon sound.

Hey Mbossa,
The episode of W & G is # 16 “Yours, Mine or Ours” from season 1. And if I recall correctly there wasn’t much Karen in it, so you’ve got that going for you, which is nice

Ahhhhhh yessssss. . . Mombassssssaaaaa

Mbossa , it kind of but not really means something that doesn’t make sense to anyone but me, so if you were to tell me that I have the rucciest face you’ve ever seen, you would be spouting utter nonsense that I would find highly complimentary. I’m smiling right now at the thought of it, thanks.

Mmmmmmm…bossa!

Hugh Jass always sounded funny to me, although I haven’t seen it in a while (the name, that is. I see a real life one every time I look in a full length mirror.)

<mildly OT>

Guilty as charged. And it’s not the ‘nub’ part, it’s…I don’t know.

OTOH, it’s memorable. So memorable that the day before yesterday I was just thinking that I hadn’t seen you post for awhile, at least not in the threads I was reading. And I was hoping you were OK.

</mildly OT>

As for out-loud Doper names, zweisamkeit is my absolute favourite. Fabulous mouthfeel.

I also say Kotick and badbadrubberpiggy a lot, but both are used as terms of address to my Feline Overlord, rather than saying them for pure pleasure.

Ha! I do that too.

I still like to say Poopa Chalupa, even though he departed us, and this life as well. :frowning:

My current favs are Big Bad Baby Sweets (I feel like I should stand up and shake my booty), El_Kabong (ah the remnants of a 70s childhood!), Bambi Hassenpfeffer (more Bugs Bunny), Freudian Push Up Bra (I have a hideous compulsion to grab my own breasts and shove 'em up to HERE) and Hypno-Toad (draw out the O’s).

I always feel vaguely dirty when I encounter Stinkpalm, though I’m sure he’s a very nice guy. :dubious:

The timing of this thread is funny because a couple days ago, while reading the dope I starting repeating the name Quiddity GLomfuster to myself and thought, “gosh, that’s fun to say! I should make a thread about it!” But I didn’t. You did though, so thanks!

Quiddity Glomfuster!

Aw . . . thanks guys. It’s a contraction of my full name, Melissa. As I kid, I never heard my full name unless I was in trouble, and if it was my full name plus my middle name . . . ooh, boy. So, I go by Lissa out of a natural avoidance of hearing the syllables which meant doom.

It’s been a lifelong struggle to keep people from pronouncing it “Lisa.” I’ve actually had people correct me.

This name, and my brain’s stubborn insistance on seeing it incorrectly are the reasons why I came into this thread. (And I also always hear the Star Wars pub music when I see it.)

What? No way!

Me too.

Also: Exapno Mapcase, and my favorite martial art, SmackFu.

I sing the whole bit: “Wookinpanub in all de rong paces, wookinpanuuuuuub…”

Which reminds me, I have a tendency to sing “Viva! Lost wages” in my best Elvis (which isn’t very good) whenever I see a certain posters name.
And now I am going to be singing “Wookinpanub in all the rong paces”, too. Thanks.

Actually, change “the” to “de.”

And while you’re at it, throw in some more Eddie Murphy Buh-Wheat style singing: “Make dit wurd a betta pace ip doo tan…”

Oh, yeah! Exapno Mapcase . I think that’s fun, too.

I know he’s been mentioned already, but just this morning, I caught myself saying Thudlow Boink out loud.

Happy Scrappy Hero Pup. I can skip to it.

You’re not alone.

Also, nearly every time I see Hypno-Toad post, I say to myself (in a monotone voice, of course) “All glory to the Hypno-Toad!”
