Dopers Names You Like To Say Out Loud

pseudotriton ruber ruber, sung to the tune of “Mony Mony”.

Oh my GOD! I thought I was the only one! I’ve woken up one morning and was getting ready for work and all that was in my head was Quiddity Glomfuster, Quidditiy Glomfuster, Quiddity Glomfuster, Quiddity Glomfuster, etc. I thought I was going mad!

Heehee!
Mbossa, Mbossa, MBOSSA! shiver
See The Lion King again THIS weekend, Mbossa!

'Tis true, even though I spelled his name wrong. Thread It was in November 2002.

 What fun that people enjoy me monicker! I wanted to pick something that would fit in nicely with all the interesting and imaginative names here and am delighted that my final choice pleases the ear of several Dopers.

There’re loads of great names on this board. The funnest for me are:

Czarcasm
pseudotriton ruber ruber
Qadgop the Mercotan
Bobotheoptimist
lieu

and, shamelessly: my own. Thorny Platypus

And here I had spent all this time pronouncing it as “Garganu”. Now I see that it’s actually “Gary gnu” and I have no idea where I got Garganu. It’s a pretty awesome sounding word though. GARGANU!

You’re not far off on the pronunciation. If I recall correctly, the Great Space Coaster character Gary Gnu pronounced it “gary ga-nu.”

For some reason I’m not able to pronounce Qadgop. I always say “kwag-dop” in my head.

I know she changed her name, but I got a big kick out of FireUnderpantsBoobs. It’s the kind of thing you repeat in a low whisper when trying to calm yourself. “Fireunderpantsboobs fireunderpantsboobs fireunderpantsboobs…”

Merkwurdigliebe, bambi hasenpfeffer (that’s how I remember it anyway and it cracks me up - the juxtaposition of a Disney character and a delicious rabbit dish is just so…subversive) and Exapno Mapcase. Especially Exapno Mapcase, because I used to know what it referred to, but I have since forgotten so every time I see the name I pull a muscle in my brain trying to remember. Must…not…succumb…to…Google…addiction…

What a kind sentiment, ** Surok **; thank you!Just so you know (not that you were losing sleep or anything) I never had any hard feeling about what you said.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the tip!
