I’m wondering about Imthecowgodmoo. We scared him up a while back, and he graced us with his presence long enough to let us know he was going to be even more scarce in the future. I wonder if he ever checks the boards?

After Season 2 of 24, KneadToKnow said something about not being able to be online as much. I forget the reason, but I think it was something like moving or changing jobs, nothing bad. But don’t quote me on anything.
Demo (also known as democritus90) is alive and well, and has migrated to LiveJournal, which I suspect has happened to quite a few people, as the SDMB grows and feels like less of a community.*
I asked about oldscratch at the recent BADfest, and he’s doing OK.
Maybe when SmileyDeath joined, him and ChiefScott spontaneously combusted each other.

Heya lieu! I still lurk around a bit. Mostly reading GQ when I have time and occasionally popping into MPSIMS. These days I spend most of my time over at Livejournal (as Democritus (my old screen name here, btw)). If Cecil ever gets those hamsters running a little faster I’d like to spend more time here though.

He got shipped out for Gulf War II. He’s in the Navy, so he should be pretty safe.

I too am wondering/worried about both pld and Peta.
The only instance I recall of this happening was last year, when poohpah chalupa passed away suddenly, and Scotticher posted a thread about it. It was a sticky for a while:
Anyway, if I suddenly passed away, my little brother is an occasional Doper, though I don’t think I’ve seen him on here since his “Ask the theme park character” thread; he’s busy with school. But he’d post it on here, I’m sure.
