Whenever I look around for favorite threads from the past, it strikes me how many longtime posters aren’t around anymore; some have been banned, some didn’t survive the pay-to-post conversion, and some have probaly just gotten distracted (or gotten a life). So who do y’all miss who isn’t around anymore?
(And please, I’d like this to stay in IMHO, so no slamming people who aren’t around to defend themselves.)
I’ve been wondering what happened to harmless. A quick search shows that she hasn’t posted since January, and even before then I wasn’t seeing her online nearly as much as in the past.
Personally, I’m thinking Sims 2 is to blame. Or having a life…whichever.

I really miss Collounsbury. He deserved his banning, but he was sure informed about MENA issues and evolution…
I also miss oldscratch (he of the TMI) and Satan was also a lot of fun – fun from the Prince of Darkness in two incarnations, apparently.
Among the funniest posts I ever read on SDMB were posted by Homer.
I miss Master Wang-Ka. And Reeder, if you can believe that. We shared an interest in old cars, of all things.

No activity in… jeez, a year and a half?!? And no posts since July '04. She’s listed as a guest now, so I guess she chose not to renew for whatever reason. Too bad.

IIRC she and hubby were trying for a baby. I suppose things got busy if everything worked out.
FWIW, Collounsbury is going through cancer treatment right now. Not sure what kind of anything ( cancer or treatment) and that is hardly any excuse for rudeness, but the man did know his shit.
