How long into the pregnancy were you when you started getting morning sickness / throwing up ?
I think everyone is different, I never got sick at all. Another one of my friends had to stay in bed for the last trimester since it was really bad.
I started throwing up around the 12th week. And it was more of an all day thing.
In my last two pregnancies, I knew I was pregnant before I took the test.
About a week before my period was due, my breasts would hurt so bad that even showering was painful. And the nausea would hit about the same time.

My first pregnancy, within days of conception. My others - oddly - only when I ate Chinese food.
Three kids. Was never sick or even nauseous. Did crave lobster and popsicles, though.
oh dear, goo…
is there a reason you ask?
I seem to recall reading threads about you being pro-childless.
(not sure, so please correct me!)
Hope all works out!
Four kids and never needed to ‘drive the porcelain bus’ so to speak. In fact, quite the opposite. I always KNEW when I was pregnant (even before I’d missed a period) because I would become ravenously hungry and eat anything in sight. That state would last until about the 12th week when things would settle down a bit (otherwise I would’ve ended up as big as the side of a house).
This really varies by person. I never had “morning sickness” per se, but I did develop a severe aversion to certain foods. It started pretty much as soon as I got pregnant and went away after the third month. During this time, I could not even be in the same room where a piece of fish had been cooked, or I would feel extremely nauseated.
I haven’t been pregnant, but a close friend of mine is right now, and hers went away at about four and a half months, thank God. She found that while the thought of it was awful, if she actually ate something, she wouldn’t throw up. Hers started within a couple of weeks, though they didn’t find out for sure until midway through the second month that she was, indeed, pregnant.
Please let’s not start the discussion about cravings - mine were insane and disgusting with all of my pregnancies…
I didn’t get full morning sickness either, but was eating like a horse and losing weight. There were a few weeks (around 3 months) that anything except for mashed potatoes or fruit would make me nauseous.
The day after she told me.
I’ve been pregnant twice (not counting a very early miscarriage) and I started getting “morning” sickness at about 5-6 weeks both times. It pretty much went away by the 12th or 13th weeks.
Around two weeks with both pregnancies.
I was about four weeks pregnant and threw up twice, that’s how I figured out I was pregnant. Never any morning sickness after that.
I did have a serious bout of dizziness for about a week in there, but that was because I went off my Paxil cold turkey instead of weaning off of it like you’re supposed to.
I never had morning sickness or threw up.
I started getting sick after six weeks, and it lasted about a month. I also had the breast tenderness before I knew I was pregnant.
Started feeling ill at about 6 weeks but never actually barfed and it was totally gone by 12 or 13 weeks. Then felt ill weeks 22 & 23 but again never puked.

About a week after conception. I miscarried at about 14 weeks, and I will still sick then. Gah, it was terrible.
I was inspired to write Unca Cecil about it:
