Thanks to each and every Doper, who make me get to work to see what’s going on here. And special thanks to faithfool, my “badass Secret Santa” who helped me get my “Charter Member” status, and to scottevil for getting me to met up with him out of cyberspace and IRL. Now maybe I can get it together for the next NYC Dopefest.

I’m thankful for all the Dopers, but I’ll take this opportunity to give a special thanks to the UK Dopers who gave me a great evening at the Princess Louise in July, and helped me laugh a lot more than I have in so very long.
I don’t know all of your Doper names, but I’m fairly certain I remember everyone who was there, so to all of you: thanks for making this traveler feel welcome 
I know I’m blessed to have Laurel in my life. My best friend calls her and my other friends at school my God sent. I couldn’t agree more.
if6was9 first and foremost, and for too many reasons to list. mipiace, jaade, IvaHD, and Salem for helping me regain my dignity and self respect, tanookie and Parallax for all their kindnesses over the past year and a half, NoClueBoy for all the nights of playing at non-sequitirs with me (damn, but this is starting to sound like an Oscar’s speech), GaWd, Inigo Montoya, ShibbOleth, twickster, EddyTeddyFreddy, Cowgirl Jules, Wyatt, and at least ten other people I know I’m forgetting, but will be along shortly to whap me upside the head and say WTF???

I appreciate so many people here, for so many reasons. Many of you have posts I look forward to every day.
However, I’m going to single out two Dopers who gave me specific advice for a specific situation. Doesn’t mean that they are any more (or less) significant compared to so many of the rest of you. And I know that many others have given me great advice to me all the time. It’s just that I thought I’d point out two specific examples:
toadspittle, for giving me some really good advice on a thread about self-publishing. Toadspittle has self-published himself, has done well with it, and opened that possibility to me. It really made a difference. I now have self-published my first book, and it’s been a blast. Thanks, toadspittle.
Jodi, for giving me some really valuable advice about a concern I had about my (then current) job. I had certain fears which I voiced in a thread, and she confirmed to me (and was very articulate about it) that my fears were not trivial and should be taken seriously. She gave me just that little extra push to get out of a really bad situation. Looking back, I am amazed that I stuck it out as long as I did. I still have bad dreams about that place. Thanks, Jodi.
I’m particularly grateful for the chat Dopers for keeping me busy and lending a sympathetic ear, all the MADs past and present, but especially twickster for making sure my papers sing, Olentzero for being the wiseass he is (and for some book recommendations), and of course, my two favorite MADs. They need no mention.

To be honest, I’m thankful for this enitre community, even if I don’t know or like everyone.
Exactly! I don’t even want to name any names – but feel free to assume if you’re reading this in hopes that I would have mentioned yours, that yes I would have, had I named names.

Gosh. Thanks to those who mentioned me. Thanks to those who didn’t but aw shucks, just coz they forgot. Thanks to those who read my blitherings and charge right in to set me straight – you I need most of all. 
Most of all, though – THANKS TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO MAKE THIS BOARD AN INCREDIBLE PLACE TO HANG OUT.
I couldn’t even begin to list off the names of the people I really dig here. There’d be no way I could write a list that long without the hamsters going on strike, and anyway I’d undoubtedly have enough senior moments to leave out some of my very favoritest Dopers.
So, if you’ve managed to read this far, and are wondering: “Does she include me in that list?” The answer is:

Wow, I just saw this thread because of a pit thread. I am definitely thankful for Maureen. It’s good to hear a voice close to your own sometimes, and especially one close geographically!
Other dopers I’m thankful for having around are World Eater, and Finn Again, though I really don’t think any of us is more special or more cared for than others. THis is a community, after all.

I was hoping someone around here would be thankful for me; it’s hard for me to tell when I’ve crossed the line from silly and entertaining and into over-the-top and annoying.
That said, I’m thankful for this board as a whole, which I’ve found to be a fairly unique community of individuals. (“I’m not!”) Everyone who’s emailed me to praise my signature with the Kaiju-musical riff; the operators, especially TubaDiva and Dex; I’d like to thank the regular posters in my comic book threads; Draelin and Filmgeek, both like some sort of female brain-clones of myself; and I’d like to thank the Academy… Mom and Dad… the Director… and Hitler.
