Doug Bennett, the frontman for the band Doug and the Slugs died Saturday at the age of 53 (story). I realize that most Dopers probably are not familiar with the band, but I imagine that a good number of the Canadian Dopers know of them. Dougs passing isn’t bound to attract too much attention but he deserves some props for writing fun songs and putting on great live shows.
I know that there is a Slug-Fest going on in afterlife right about now.
