I’m trying to set up a computer to send my brother and my nephew for Christmas. They won’t have internet access and while I’ve gotten a couple of games for each of them I’d like to find some downloadable freeware ones for my nephew. He’s six and in kindergarten and I want to find some educational but still entertaining games for him. Anyone know of any sights that might have what I’m looking for?
Unfortunately these games from Orisinal are not downloadable. It might still be nice if you pass along the information in case they ever do get connected to the internet.
Although not freeware, littlecats loved the Blues Clues CDs and also those with Reader Rabbit. The Crayola castle is another she plays with quite a bit-none of these titles should be more than $5.
Not downloadable, but I’ve gotta reccomend Neopets for kids of any age (hell, I think it’s kinda fun too) - it’s a virtual pet game with lots and lots of games of all sorts, and there’s enough aspects of the thing to be interesting to kids of all ages and temperments. It’s totally free (although some of the games are ads in very thin disguise) except that recently it seems they’ve been selling toys and trading card games at various places. The online stuff is still all free, though - no gold level, no premium games, same thing for everybody.
Scroll down and to the left for downloadable games.
My email is in my profile… My kids have more software titles than they can ever play. Give me your address and I will send you some.
