Downloading music from iPhone to PC

I recently installed the new version of Windows. I thought I had backed up all my files, but apparently I missed my music folder somehow. I have all of the songs I purchased from iTunes, but I’m missing all of my non iTunes stuff (ripped CD songs). I don’t have the CDs anymore, but I do have all my music stores on my iPhone.

I’ve been looking online, but I haven’t found an easy/clear way to download songs from the iPhone to my PC. Any help?

Thanks!

There is a program called Cyberduck for Mac OS and WinSCP for Windows.

you connect using the iPhone’s IP address via wifi, so you need the 192.168.1.# address.

Then you connect using SFTP. Login the iPhone using the id: admin and password: alpine.

I appreciate the tip, but I reviewed the site Windows Guide To Using WinSCP With iPhone and I’m afraid that’s a little complicated for me. Is there anything simpler?

there is reverse syncing, but that only works with movies and music purchased through iTunes.

or - for last resort- see if the following works. Probably won’t but hey… it’s worth a try!

I was able to use a Winamp plugin to successfuly transfer my iPhone content to my PC. Now, all the music is on the PC, but Winamp wiped all the music off my phone (which was a surprise!). Getting everything integrated back into iTunes has been a challenge, but it looks like I will have near 100% recovery (a few songs weren’t on the phone and have been lost). Hopefully, I won’t have any issues syncing the music back on to my phone once I’m done organizing iTunes (all iPhone apps were fine - everything I purchased from iTunes was successfully backed-up before the reinstall).
