With the big move to North Carolina coming up in less than a week now, I have begun the power cleaning in earnest.
For many years now, I have been an avid collector of live bootlegs from bands who encourage trading, primarily Phish. I switched over to CD-R trading a few years ago, but while cleaning out the closet I found two shoeboxes full of tapes.
They’re mostly Phish, with some Dead, Widespread Panic, Government Mule, and who knows what else. I hate to get rid of them, but I don’t listen to them or trade on cassette anymore, so there’s no use taking up space in the Ryder.
Thus, I’ve decided to have my own mini-Elephant. If anyone wants a shoebox of tapes, I’ll ship 'em to you. In return, you can ship something of comparable coolness to my new place. (Keeping it a surprise, of course!)
The tapes range from great to crappy quality. Some have cases with nice hand-made labels; others lack not only cases but any stickers identifying the artist or show. (This is truly a grab bag of stoner rock.)
Post if you’re interested, and I’ll pick a couple of folks at random (or based on promised coolness of swapped item or items) and ship 'em out Tuesday.
If I run across anything else worthwhile, I’ll offer it up elephant-style, too.
Enjoy!
