Only if you do it wrong. A doctor would know how to do it so the yuckky stuff isn’t forced deeper into the skin.

Some of those earwax videos are simply mind-boggling. Wouldn’t those people be stone-deaf if they had an auditory canal chock-full of earwax?

My ears produce prodigious amounts of earwax; the OTC drops don’t really do a whole lot, and I have to go in once a year or so to have a professional clean them out. And, yes, my hearing is noticeably better once the wax is gone.
