Sheldon has a number of t-shirts which reflects his love of sci-fi and comic books.
One shirt…dark blue with a white chevron/lamda…eludes me.
What does it represent?

I doubt Sheldon Cooper, Ph.D., would wear a shirt from MIT. That’s where engineers come from, donchaknow?
It’s not a letter of any type; it’s a vector.
Close examination of Sheldon’s right loin* reveals that there is a field of black, through which a light-grey vector, of unknown magnitude, but appearing to create a 1.5-inch wide stripe along the nipple-line of Sheldon’s shirt. As it reaches the front of his shirt, the vector takes a sudden turn to put on a point of intersection with the top of his breastbone. When the vector reaches this point, it takes another turn, in the direction of Sheldon’s left hip. When it reaches the nipple line again, the vector is showing an arrow (which is how the diligent observer has determined it to be a vector).
Someone with a math-heavy science background will probably have already ninja’d me with the actual name of the wave-form (or will be along shortly to do so).
*Calm down. The “loin” is defined as the portion of the lateral surface of the abdomen that extends from the bottom rib to the pelvis.
I thought is was the logo associated with some obscure science fiction franchise.
I’ve got a question about another t-shirt. It’s a blue t-shirt with a white circle with the number 73 in it. I think it’s a reference to Speed Racer but does anybody know what character?
This is what I found:
