you see, Dr. Who has never been shown in Hawaii before…
like Buffy wasn’t shown here until Angel died
More importantly, those of us who don’t get the CBC finally get to see the new Doctor!
Here’s Doctor Who on Sci Fi.
I’m looking forward to it!!! After I’ve started watching, I’ll have to dig up and read those old threads that our British friends posted about this a few years back …
Also, ouryL, you mean the original Tom Baker and company was never shown in Hawaii? The horrors!!
To be fair, you’ll get to see “a” new Doctor. He’s already replaced in the UK with his 10th incarnation.
Still, it’s about time!
Please tell some details. IIRC this doctor was only on for one season. Is that right? Who is the new doctor (of course he is)? How was this guy? Was it any good?
Plot synopsis for Dr. Who Goes Hawaiian!!:
The Doctor travels to 21st century Hawai’i to discover the secret of the word “Aloha,” which, meaning both hello and goodbye simultaneously, may be of inestimable value to confused time travellers. Aided by his assistants Gidget and Moondoggie, the Doctor finds that only slight cosmetic modifications are needed to make his TARDIS nicely inconspicuous: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fatherdamienstatue2.jpg
Auwe!! It is true. It might have been on TBS in the early eighties, but few people had “premium” :dubious: cable back then.
