I’d love to see Cameron Daddo as the Doctor. He has experience with starring in a TV series as a Doctor-like character.

God I hope not. Far better to pretend that that particular debacle never happened, just in some parallel universe somewhere far, far away.
Tom Baker again would be cool. “I liked this version so much I thought I’d base my next incarnation on it again…”. Let’s face it, Peter Davison was ok, but it’s been downhill all the way since Tom left.

Seriously though, I’m excited. New Doctor Who I’ll never get to see because I’m in the States.

I met Tom Baker at a signing at the Virgin in Oxford St a few years ago, and he autographed my dvd cover, ‘To the Doctor, from the Doctor.’
I have to admit, one thing rattling around in the back of my head whilst sweating over my dissertation was eventually, someday, to have awe struck people hanging on my every word, saying, ‘What is it, Doctor?’ Some day…sigh.
He told me he was chuffed to meet an historian – ‘You’re the first medievalist I’ve ever met!’
I blurted out, 'Well, you’re the first Time Lord I’ve ever met!

As much as I loved Tom Baker as the Doctor, I think it’d be better if they went with a whole new Doctor & companions.
As an amateur screenwriter, I’ve had my own ideas for a Doctor Who feature film (I can’t believe it’s never been done) It’d definitely have a scene involving the Doctor going to Gallifrey and having a confrontation with the High Council of Time-Lords. In this fantasy script of mine, the high council would consist of all the still-living actors who portrayed the Doctor in the t.v. series: Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, Coliin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann (who was decent as the Doctor, even if the t.v. movie about his incarnation sucked.)
