Interesting… I liked Captain Jack as a character, but wasn’t always impressed with Russell Davis’s writing…although it will keep me going until the next series of Dr Who!

Lots of bi-sexual stuff then. If they went that way on a kids programme then they’ll definitely go that way for a series “aimed at adults”.
Usually when they try to expand on a popular series it fails. Hopefully this will be the exception as I’ve a lot of time for all things Who but let’s not forget the K9 stand alone series.
Sweetness: I liked Captain Jack as a character and think he’d work outside Doctor Who.
Course, a lot of his charm was the way he interacted with Christopher Eccelson(spelling?) so we’ll see…
I predict it is going to be a stinker.
I mean, “Torchwood”, could it be spelt out any clearer? It’s practically a porn-name.
Well the name choices were always going to be limited whilst using an anagram of Doctor Who.
I dunno… “Hot Rod Cow” sounds like it’d be fun.
I prefer Hoot Crowd
What exactly does “post-watershed” mean? I saw that little phrase used in the interview with the BBC-3 folks.
On terrestrial TV in the UK, there is a rule that “adult” themes (e.g. nudity, rude words, violence - the sort of thing you get on HBO shows) should be confined to times when children ought not be watching. The cut-off time is 21.00 (9 p.m.), which has always been know as “the watershed”.
For subscription channels, the watershed is 20.00 (8 p.m.).
BBC3 is a non-subscription digital channel, so the 21.00 watershed applies.
K9 doo, doo, doo.
But really, I am hopeful about this new series.
Got it now. Thanks a bunch.
