I would love it if someone would get the following people together for a show:
Jonathan Coulton, Stephen Lynch, and…hrm…maybe Psychostick or Adam Sandler. There was a third person who went well with this idea, but I can’t remember them, at the moment.
Anyone? Who would you love to see go touring together?

This concert would be in the biggest, acoustically-perfect venue in the world (which is? I have no idea). It would sell out in 2 seconds, which means they’d have to do multiple nights. In order of stage appearance, with a big finale consisting of various configurations of duets, trios and all singing together:
Noe Venable
Happy Rhodes
Peter Gabriel (no “hits” allowed, obscure stuff only)
Kate Bush (Happy could sing backup here too)
Genesis, with the classic line-up. Gabriel, Collins, Rutheford, Banks, Hackett. With Chester Thompson. And they don’t do any of the radio-friendly crap.
And the Yes Family tour. Including everyone who ever played in Yes, on one stage.
As a late-to-the-party Beach Boys fan, I just want to see whatever fractured incarnation Brian Wilson is leading before it falls apart for the last time.
I want to see Bowie live in Santa Monica, 1972 (performing the same set list that he actually did), but have The Velvet Underground and T Rex opening for him. I could then die happy, 8 years before my birth.
The original Misfits, Guns and Roses right before “Appetite for Destruction” was released, Metallica before “Metallica” was released, Led Zeppelin after “IV” was released, and The Beatles. All of this in a small club.
Just curious, why with Chester? Bill Bruford played drums during the live shows before Chester and that was pretty kickass. I was lucky enough to see Genesis live twice with Peter Gabriel (the Selling England By The Pound tour and the Lamb Lie Down On Broadway tour) and that lineup is still the best, IMO. But hey, if you’re going to bring back someone like Chester, who only played with them live and was never actually a member of the band, bring back Anthony Phillips too, who was a band member. Make it the Grand Reunion tour, and make it last for several hours.
Yeah! And since Anthony’s with them, don’t skimp on Trespass. “White Mountain,” “Visions Of Angels,” “Dusk,” “Stagnation,” “Looking For Someone,” it’s all good. “The Knife” can be jettisoned because they did that live all the time. The others need love too.
Joy Division w/Ian Curtis.
AC/DC w/ Bon Scott.
Metallica w/ Cliff Burton.
Motorhead w/ Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke & “Philthy” Animal Taylor.
Deep Purple – classic lineup w/ Ian Gillan AND David Coverdale.
Rainbow – “Rising” lineup w/ Dio, Blackmore, Jimmy Bain, Tony Carey & Cozy Powell.
Dream Theater w/ Kevin Moore.
Genesis – classic lineup, as above
Pink Floyd – classic lineup + Syd Barrett
Yes – “Union” tour lineup + Peter Banks & Billy Sherwood
Collins & Thompson had better chemistry, IMO. Besides, Bruford’s gonna be busy with the Yes set.
