Why did that dress have to be so hideous? It was a great fabric and the character normally wore really pretty clothes that were flattering on her, but she made that stupid prom dress into the pink satin equivalent of a gunny sack.
{disclaimer: I am not totally sure what a gunny sack is.}
It’s a large, coarsely-woven fabric sack - rather like the burlap bags potatos come in.
Seriously. The one’s Lucy & Ethylmade out of actual potato sacks were better. I’ve often thought that was the biggest flaw in an otherwise excellent movie.
Coincidentally, the dresses you link to above do suspiciously resemble the dress in PiP. :dubious:
