Dressing them Barbie Dolls...(aka-How do you like your women)

Those were mostly along the same sort of lines that the women were talking about with guys in tuxes. Not everyday stuff. (jeans the notable exception).

But to answer your question, my ex-girlfriend had a thing for corsets. She’d wear one almost every day, including to class. Which is, of course, how I got to like them too.

For just out and about, it’s all about bearing. A girl could be wearing a potato sack and be sexy if she thinks she is.

Now, Nacho, I was talking about a leather mini skirt, not TOO short, and a nice silk blouse. I’ve see ladies wear this to the office. Now, if you want to talk about specific BEDROOM fantasy gear (not to be seen out in public), then I get a LOT more naughty. (I did not get that 29 by being a choirboy).

And, thanks for the “back scratch” vote, Diane, I’ll scratch yours back, ANYtime.

wait, Nacho, you tell us, how do YOU like your women since you feel so strongly about our opinions. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m still into the flowing skirts thing. i love the eastern culture look (healthily that is), and the leather turns me on when i AM at a club.

put me and a woman in a 96 degree room or hotter, and she’d better watch out, i just can’t control myself then. ahhh the HEAT!

soulsling,
Cool name, way too long sig.

Females don’t wear clothes, the clothes wear them - as is said above. A woman knows what looks good on her and that reflects in her actions as well.

Yet . . .

I sense what you are asking may be deeper. So, I’ll say this :

Shoulder length brunette hair. She is sitting on the edge of a large bed. She is turning to look at me nodding the hair over her shoulder, so she can put in an earring. She is wearing only a sky blue spaghetti strapped lingerie top. Her lovely legs stretch out past the fabric, gently bending to meet the floor. She smiles at me, her eyes glowing the same color as her top, and I melt.

“Can you get me those shoes ?”

“As you wish.”

Bravo! Hear Hear!
That post brought a tear to my eye, and I agree wholeheartedly.

But on the other hand, I also need to say:
MMMMMMmmmmmmm…Sundresses…
And cut-offs and a t-shirt always look good (ex: the girl in that Stacker2 commercial)

But Triskadecamus is exactly right. A woman who feels sexy is sexier than anything else. No matter what she is wearing (within limits).

I’ll just comment on what’s been previously mentioned for the most part, and what I do and don’t prefer.

Likes:
Flowing skirts
sundresses
cut off shorts
tight clothes
diaphanous “stuff”

Dislikes:
Nose rings
pierced navels (really, pierced anything, except ears)
tattoos (despite which, I still think Michi is attractive)
too much fingernail polish, toenail polish or make up
ridiculously high heels
obviously dyed hair

indifferent about:
bra straps showing
boots
overalls
leather
hats
corsets

(Oh, and Nacho4Sara–I’m not particularly picky about hair color. Put a gun to my head and I do prefer blondes, but that’s kind of like saying I’d like my million dollars in $1000 bills instead of $100s.)

Tattos I can take or leave: the “gang” or prison type are just plain ugly. A cool celtic artwork one, now, that can be nice, on the right person.

Thank you, Tris. With only a few exceptions, I don’t dress the way a lot of you say you prefer. But, on me, who has never been a size 8 in her life, that stuff would just look ridiculous. On the other hand, what I do wear really gets hubby’s attention; he says I look very sexy. So, it’s nice to see that at least some of you men agree it’s more about how you wear the clothes, than the clothes themselves, within reason, of course.

And, yes, I do feel sexy most of the time. I guess it shows. And, yes, there are times I just grab one of his shirts to wear around the house.
Just my 2cents.

soulsling…

Well, since you asked…I appreciate women who are dressed thusly:

a. Short khaki skirt, little top, sandals
b. Short khaki skirt, sheer black top over black tank, high heels
c. Long skirts with little tanks and sandals
d. khaki shorts or capris with a boat-neck shirt and slides
e. Black knee-length skirt with ruffle trim, bright tight red and pink patterned top, high heels

This is the kind of stuff I wear, b and e to clubs obviously. I like simple stuff that looks classic, although I sometimes jus wear shorts and a t-shirt.

My last boyfriend always loved it when I was fresh out of the shower, wrapped in one fluffy towel with another around my hair, barefoot and wet. He said was his favorite look.

nacho: Yowza!!!

Purplebear, my lovely: of course, women do not NEED any of this. Let us compare you to a rose- Lovely, simple, natural. But even the best roses look a bit “sexier” with a sprig of babiesbreath, some fern, some nice tissue paper, and a ribbon. Do you NEED those to look sexy? Of course not, but it still looks good anyway.

Thin, fairly tight, white cotton tank-top. No bra. SUPER TIGHT jeans, slightly worn, but not so warn that you’re thinking “trailer trash”.

What ever happened to tight jeans anyway? The 80s were my era. Remember when girls looked like girls? Then again, most of the guys looked like girls too… :stuck_out_tongue: I miss the big hair, tight jeans, lots of makeup, you know, the things that made girls feminine. The whole Seattle scene ruined that. Flannel shirts, baggy pants, dirty Keds, flat, stringy hair, etc… Yup, sure do miss the 80s… :frowning:

I like slutty maid outfits like the one Evette wore in Clue.

Thank you very much, Daniel. I don’t know about the tissue paper, but I can, and have, worn flowers, ribbons, and such in my hair and on my clothes. And, roses are my favorite flower, so thank you.

I like to wear my ‘tomboy’ clothes at times, sure. I wear a lot of shorts and capris in the summertime, and loose tops with somewhat low necks. It all depends on what I’m doing that day. But, on the whole, I prefer to dress feminine. I wear long, flowing skirts, a variety of tops, most of which are low-cut, and a lot are v-neck or button up with several buttons undone, and I adore colored underthings. I wear slacks a lot, for comfort, but nice ones, and only nice jeans, no holey ones for me, not out in public. I have long blonde hair that I mostly leave down and loose, but also like to put up in a loose bun or a claw, and I often wear, with my casual outfits, my hair up in a ponytail pulled thru a baseball cap. Let me add that I have kids, so my low cut stuff is only so low, and if I’m out just with hubby, I will undo another button on my shirt for example. I want to look sexy and attractive, not trashy.

Does this help you guys out any?

I’m sitting here with her asleep on my lap (typing with one hand, not that I have a lot of practice at that  ), and I’m actually about to write that I don’t care what they’re wearing, as long as she doesn’t bug me to change them into different outfits every fifteen minutes when what I really want to do is read the SDMB and find out who DavidB is chastising for deliberate ignorance this week, or what’s Krispy Original’s conspiracy flavor of the month, when it hits me: I am PRIVILEGED to be Kayla’s playmate for this short fraction of her life. It will be all too soon that she prefers me to stay on the sidelines of her day, and I’m left in the driver’s seat of the car to wait for her to need a ride to her next activity. I WAS going to devote tomorrow to cleaning up the house, but I think I’ll offer her rights of first refusal on my time before I turn to.

Thanks all, for the epiphany.

Dude, those clothes are UGLY that’s why people stopped wearing them. I look back in horror at pictures of me with big teased hair, leggings, a bug tunic, and blue eyeshadow.

AND women look more feminine when they are au naturel - little makeup, realistic hair. To me that 80’s shit just looks fake.

I don’t know any woman who wears the flannel shirt, baggy pants, mess out of the house. If they do, it is not a question of looking like women but of looking like men. The same women who wore 80’s clothes on the 80’s and looked awesome are the same who look awesome now - women in any decade look feminine because of character, confidence, and personality, not because of make-up.

purplebear: Yowza!! (but I’m easy)

Like someone says, me and my straight buddies go out ogling women… they’re undressing her with their eyes; I’m putting her in a whole new outfit

Anyway, I like long, flowing skirts in neutral colours (especially black), with matching teeshirts. Oh, and saris. I saw a woman today wearing a tan sari-type outfit with a sort of sash that kind of looped around her neck in front and hung down the back… very good-looking.

I also like butch-dyke outfits. There are lesbians walking around Montreal whom I find sexier than some gay boys. Nuff said.

Oh: And I think women usually look better without makeup, unless they’ve been using makeup forever and can’t stop now. My mom never used makeup and she still looks wonderful at 50.

:o thank you, Daniel.

And, matt_mcl, I rarely wear any makeup, ocassionally I’ll wear some mascara and lipstick. <mascara so you can see I do have eyelashes behind these glasses, the downside of being blonde>

“I have heard of your paintings too, well enough; God
has given you one face, and you make yourselves
another”
–Hamlet, Act 3, scene i

I’ll second this–to me the fault is too much makeup as opposed to ANY makeup, though.
