Drop Biden from the ticket

That’s because anyone who’s tried has never been heard from again.

He can’t quit. He’s Biden his time before he gets to run for President.

He might be Biden off more than he can chew with that job, but I’m pretty sure that’s his plan.

What are his plans for the next election? I’m sure we’ll know Biden.

If Biden quit for any reason, why wouldn’t Boehner move up?

That only works for the presidency. Recall when Ford ascended to the presidency and left a vacancy, he chose Rockefeller to fill it, not the Speaker.

I’ve never understood how Joe’s unwillingness to mince words and play it safe somehow means he is a gaffe-machine.

I mean sure, if you watch Fox News they portray him as both an existential threat to the nation and a mouthbreathing nitwit who can’t open his mouth without swallowing his size twelves up to the knee. Those of us who listen to his speeches in their entirety and in context perceive neither.

I actually like Biden and I think the people who keep nit-picking gaffs are desperate for something to point at. He has always come off as a reasoned person who draws a distinction between his personal beliefs and his job governing. I would trust him as POTUS, but I doubt that he’ll run.

Joe is a great public servant. He never forgot his roots, taking the train in from Delaware to work in the Senate each day. He’s a true friend to the working man and sincerely has their best interests at heart. His intelligence and political savvy are vastly underrated. He’s the guy that we’re going to look back on in 20 years and wonder why he never got to be president.

If this would be too abrupt, then how about taking guys like Castro and assigning them to run things in areas they’re weak on? Obviously, you wouldn’t sell it like that, but instead “he’s a great manager, and we need a fresh perspective here, and he’ll be working with Soandso, an experienced hand in the Middle East, in Nato, in Latin America bbbyyy…”

Because of the 25th Amendment.

That would seem to include Biden himself, then. When he left the polls on Election Day, he was asked if that was the last time he’d ever get to vote for himself. His answer: “No, probably not.”

Regardless, he still doesn’t have much of a national support base, not having been closely tied to any particular Obama Administration efforts. The Dem bench is pretty deep with more-attractive options, too. He may well run, but if he’s counting on being the heir apparent based on his title, he’s going to be disappointed.

I think he went on to say that he’s considering a run for city council.

Biden/Knope '16!

Step 1: Delaware needs a city.

Remember what he said about his future boss in the primaries?

Isn’t Soandso Ugandan?

Why not let Castro continue to serve the people of San Antonio as Mayor? His identical twin was just elected to the House; he’s got a job, too. Why not let these young men build their experience & help Texas Democrats at the same time–rather than fill make-work appointments in DC?

Ted Cruz (a Cuban-American) is our new Senator; he beat Ricky Perry’s guy in the Republican primary by being More Teapartier Than Thou, which is a big joke on Ricky Boy. (Reportedly Cruz also had the Bush family behind him; they never liked Perry.) From The New Yorker:

The Cruz brothers (& all Texas Democrats) have work to do here. Not that they will drop out of sight on the national stage…

I like the grooming idea, but the office is wrong. U.S. Secretary of State is the high-profile appointment the young 2016 nominee needs.

Let’s face it, if it was just grooming, Romney would have won. The man has great hair.

Yeh, we’ll all find out in the sweet Biden by.
