I was going through a bit of nostalgia when this old marching band song entered my mind. I can’t remember much about it now but we played it in the late 70’s and it was pretty popular.
Now, when I search on google I’m getting only one link to the sheet music which is out of print. Here
I was wondering if anyone here remembers this song and even better, do you know of a link to it? I’d love to hear it again. Heck, even an idea who wrote it would be something.
So apparently it’s part of this marching band show. I think it’s the first song?
Really freaking weird because I Googled to find this (never heard the song) and I happen to know the guy “Ted Rounds” marked as featured in this song!!! (Assuming “Ted Rounds” is not a common name)
ETA: The composer isBob Curnow
Ah, not the first song, it’s the last song. Around 9:40. They wheel out a drum set for Ted
That’s definitely it. Thank you so much. It’s nice to see the song live on on the internet even if it’s only in a grainy clip from 1973. Teddy did a fine job indeed.
