You can’t call consecutive timeouts on the same play, Packers! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha!
Congrats. We had so many opportunities to put it away, and failed. You guys persisted.
Qadgop the Packerfan.
Drat! Actual class!
This is it. The drought ends February 1. Philadelphia wins a championship. Finally.
I was really unsure after the first half. Green was getting a lot of yards, albeit on minimal touches. And McNabb wasn’t quite in sync with anyone, even though he had plenty of time.
It wasn’t really until the first play of the fourth quarter that they were operating on all cylinders.
on’t know who’s in the Philadelphia area, but check out Freddie Mitchell’s coat on CSN.
damn. Ya’all deserved to win this one.
::Ruby leaves thread shaking her head in wonder::
Freddie Mitchell can wear what he wants if he keeps making plays like that. Speaking of making plays, Dawk is threatening to turn me into a gay man. What’s the weather s’posed to be like up there next week? I hope it stays under 20, and I hope it snows. (And I wish I was there).
You mean Hollywood Freddie? He’s a pimp-4-life.
It was a good game and I’m happy to see the Iggles win(Favre, did that destiny plan involve a trip home?) but I just don’t see them beating the AFC rep in the Super Bowl.
Maybe not, but I think they can get past the Panthers. The Packers were the team that scared me the most on the NFC side.
We haven’t seen a Eagles Super Bowl since 1981. That’s the next step. If they lose next week, they won’t have made any progress over the past three seasons.
C’mon dantheman, quit being shy. Tell us how you really feel … Seriously, that was a very exciting game. I bet you are hoarse this morning!!!
I am. And the dog was scared shitless.
My only real regret is that I couldn’t hear Merrill Reese call the game, but on SportsCenter they did replay a couple of his calls (the Mitchell catch, the final Akers FG).
Despite the fact that I don’t really follow football, and grew up in and live in the SF Bay Area, I’ve cheered for the Eagles ever since I went to college outside Philly. Man, they sure love their Eagles in Philadelphia.
I used to be quite entertained when the top story on the local sports news would be a potential offseason Eagles trade that might or might not be happening, and the second story would be the just-completed NBA finals game that did not, in fact, involve the Eagles.
And that was a heck of a game. Fourth-and-26!!!
Wow, first time here and …everything’s so… blue…
Just curious what an Eagle fan thinks. We’re you scared on 4th & 1 from the 40? Did you want them to try a run, or to punt?
I honestly didn’t know what I wanted. i was scared the Pack wouldn’t get it, but had a feeling the punter would kick in in the endzone and they’d go down and score. If they had gones straight ahead they probably wouldn’t have, my feeling. My pulse was racing all day long.
