I have finally seen my Hometeam win a Superbowl!

1960 to 2017 (season); long, long time. Congrats!

After the last few years, I never expect that Brady can’t pull off a comeback. Good job of holding him down, Eagles.

Congratulations to Bernie Leadon, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Randy Meisner and Company. They earned this.

I still can’t believe with that Philly defensive front four that they only got one sack, but it was certainly a timely one! Also, how was that credited as a sack if Tom fumbled on the same play? Isn’t it just…a fumble?

Detroit Lions fan here. :sigh:

I’m a 49er fan in the Seattle area. I made friends with a new co-worker back in the spring who’s an Eagle fan. They became my “2nd team” and it had been a lot fun watching him be a fan this season.

Congrats to him and all Eagle fans! Welcome to the Super Bowl club.

That’s called a strip sack if a defensive player knocks the ball out of the QB’s hands behind the line of scrimmage.

And Jim Schwartz has a Super Bowl ring.

I really wasn’t too interested in this game, far from a Patriots fan and wasn’t all that excited about the Eagles without Wentz (that young man has a bright future if he can get and stay healthy).

But that trick play made me a Foles fan near the end of the first half and I had something to root for.

I just want to see the Iggles boycott Trump’s invitation to the White House, and then Trump’s tweet:

“I never invited the loser Champions to the White House! #fakenews! #Nyanyaa!”

Oh yeah, and congrats, all you long-suffering Eagles fans.

L.A. Rams and Chargers fan here, so I continue to wait.

Right, but I thought that only applied if the QB fumbled while being in the act of being sacked, rather than just having the ball knocked out right as he’s beginning his throwing motion.

Nope, that’s always a sack.

Of course if it happens as he’s throwing that’s just an incomplete pass.

I guess. They should call it something else though. Just deflecting the ball out of the QB’s hands to cause a fumble isn’t really a “strip” in my mind, per se. But I am glad for the outcome, happy for Iggle fans and as a Bengals fan, can’t wait for my team’s turn (I’m thinking in 2031).

I agree completely. To me a sack should involve a tackle or at least a QB going down. But a forced fumble is considered a sack if it happens behind the line of scrimmage. shrug

Thank, Eagles, for keeping our record intact!
-sincerely, Steeler Nation

Forgot to add, if a QB runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of yards that’s also called a sack which I really don’t agree with. It’s like he sacks himself…?

As a Giants fan, I am officially required to hate the Eagles. But I have to congratulate them because I hate the Patriots much much more. Well done!:D:D

Congratulations Philadelphia!

I wonder if Sylvester Stallone will be there for the victory parade?

Underdog Victory!
