Eagerly awaited games

Throwing in my votes with Diablo III, Skyrim, Heroes of Might and Magic 6

And those additions:

Trine 2: The first one was beautiful, had haunting music and was a great game to experience. From what I had see fromthe Trine 2 trailers, it took all that was great in Trine 1 and dialed it up to 11.

Torchlight 2: Satisfy the need for Diablo 3. Has online co-op now!

Mass Effect 3: Will it be this year? I doubt so.

My birthday is at the end of April, and I had to specifically tell a friend not to give it to me (it’d have been a no-brainer, otherwise). But if I get Portal 2 this spring, I’ll never finish my thesis.

Also add my votes for the other installments of Starcraft II (especially Zerg, but Protoss also) and Diablo III.

If Thief 4 is updated to the present-day, as was rumoured, I can’t see much point in continuing the series… Fake medievalism was kind of the point.
Thief 5 - To The Stars !

I am looking forward to LA Noire. But, I will probably wait until the price drops before getting it. It looks really awesome. A combination of action and mystery solving. I think this will be another homerun.

On the other hand Portal 2 comes out April 19th and I preordered it with Amazon. Usually, I wait like I plan on doing with LA Noire. But, Amazon is offering 20 dollars back in store credit on preorders of Portal 2. That’s pretty much impossible to pass up. So, I didn’t.

Going beyond that I am probably most looking forward to Arkham Asylum 2.

Ditto. Whatever hardware is needed to run Diablo 3 is the hardware I shall buy.

I recently got a fat Nvidia card and a slew of memory (I do 3D graphics), and I can’t wait to see how it runs Diablo 3.

for another entry on a game title that has been in developement since before the pentium computer was invented:

World in Flames (WW2 turn based strategy, can find this at Matrix Games).

Started in the late 90’s, stalled, sold to Matrix around 2005 (I think). Reading the forums, it’s clear that there is still work being done, but man… the release date still keeps getting slid to the right [on the calendar].

I had no idea a PC version of WiF was in the works.

putting another bookmark in my ‘soon to be purchased games’ file

I didn’t know this game existed until a few minutes ago. Now it’s at the top of my list:

Then again, I’m a sucker for mech games.

I’m eagerly awaiting a further price drop for “Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition”.

(What can I say – I’m thrifty and patient.)
