Earl Hickey Said It Best

I’m not a huge ‘My Name is Earl’ fan, but I can’t help but feel the same as he did when he said,** “I’m tired of being Karma’s bitch!”**
Maybe its my point of view, but it seems like the crap just keeps coming and coming and coming; most of it financial. I should be grateful that Mr. Surrounded has a full time job with medical, and that I have a part time job that I love, but it just isn’t enough. Between the two of us we bring home $3300 a month. Each month we barely squeak by and somebody always has to wait for their money. These last few months we have had:

Kid #3 broke 4 bones in her foot. ER visit, X-Rays, specialist, cast and crutches Deductible plus non PPO ER Provider $600 Pull infected deformed molar $200
Kid #2 Badly sprained wrist during baseball practice. ER visit, X-Rays, specialist, wrist brace, Deductible plus non PPO ER Provider $400; Therapy bills $300; Teenage boy who eats 5 times his weight in food a day** $undetermined**
Kid #1 AP Testing x 3= $240; Deposit to hold spot at college of her choice $350
Repair fuel pump on car:** $450**
Me: Pull 3 infected teeth: $300; Fees for nursing license test $200
Hubby: Blood work for Hep C $400
Replace Broken Dishwasher: $350
State Taxes: $300

For about 3 years we have been painfully, slowly, climbing out of credit card debt. Like so many others, our CC companies screw us right up the ass. We swore them off and havent used our cards in 4 years. Now, with all this stuff taking a big juicy bite out of our bottom line, I’m thinking that its time to dig out the plastic. With the exception of replacing the dishwasher, none of this stuff can be put off.

AND NOW I HAVE CRAMPS! #$%&*>?@&! :smack:

Stop going to non-PPO ERs.

Make the teenagers get jobs and pay for their own food, car repairs, college deposits, exam fees.

Take ibuprofen- it blocks the stuff that cause cramps.

Ta-da! More money, less pain.

You’re welcome.

Yippee! I love more money and less pain!

Its exactly what I wanted!

Yeah but (Don’t you hate it when whiners say, ‘Yeah, but’):
Only one ER available. Next ER 2 Hours away on treacherous road with frequent rock and land slides.

Teen ager #1 has been looking for work for about 8 months. Many of her friends with jobs have been laid off and now even more teenagers are looking for jobs. Plus, they have to compete with adults looking for jobs who are desperate and available during the day.

Teen ager #2 isn’t eligible for a work permit from the school system for another 8 months.

Ibuprofen works great on the cramps though! I didn’t really need a stomach lining anyway.

Hey, always glad to help!
