I was probably around 4 years old, because I was in pre-school. I remember playing in a sandbox, while a teacher, a young woman who had thick dark hair with bangs that almost hid her eyes and that extended to her waist, was sitting on the edge of the sandbox. She was wearing a blue jumper and she had, what I now know to be, a transistor radio held to her ear and the song that was playing was “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”. So not only can I still listen to it, it’s my first memory of rock and roll.
