I remember the LONG version of the “things go better with Coca-Cola” commercial song. And the Winston cigarette jingle from TV (“like a ! ! cigarette should…”). Texaco gas (“You can trust your car to the man who wears the star…”). Earliest though… Doublemint gum. Because I remember asking my mother to explain it. I thought they were saying “double-you-dub” (“Doublemint, Doublemint Doublemint gum…”) and the alphabet was a new acquisition for me so I wanted to know why they were singing about “W”
