Earth Day is April 22 – a day to celebrate and protect the natural resources of our planet. I’m going to join the Arbor Day Foundation and plant trees, and maybe start a small organic garden. What are your Earth Day plans?

Just like any other Earth Day,I will be burning that big stack of tires, emptying all my used motor oil into the river and putting the top down on the convertible and letting those super-fun packing peanuts fly where they may.
Kidding, of course. 
I’m at work.
But I rode the bus here intead of driving!

We’ll be having BBQ spotted owl for dinner tonight.
Putting in a full day of work in IS Security, then going home to drink beer from non-re-usable bottles and watch Enterprise.
God, I’m boring.
me, i’m warmin’ up the chain saw to go clearcut some old-growth forests and put down some pavement 
actually, i’ll probably bike to lunch, i have my mountain bike on my car’s roof rack, then again, i bike to lunch every day, i’d bike to work if i lived closer, but it’s a 25 minute drive by car alone…
On vacation. Flying to California. Didn’t even know it was Earth Day. Who has time?
Since you’re going to have the top down anyway, be sure and vent all the Freon from your A/C unit into the atmosphere.

Since we live in the same state, I will toss some packing peanuts in your direction if I pass you.
Well, since the water wasn’t working today and I had to go to the bathroom really bad when I got back from my shift, I celebrated Earth day by fertilizing a tree in the backyard by dropping a steamer in a hastily-dug hole in a secluded portion of my back yard. And yes, I used toilet paper (the biodegradable camping TP).
sigh Nevermind.
Don’t be upset. When I light my big burn pile, I will throw in some styrofoam dedicated to you for your effort to raise awareness.

My daughter and I are planting some Sunflowers, does that count?

I recycle and clean up trash out of the desert around my house all the time. I am also a member of the Sierra Club.
So I am having a beer today.
Wish her a happy birthday for us.
It’s also my Mom’s birthday (89 this year!)
I didn’t do anything special today, but I always recycle my aluminum, reuse those pesky packing peanuts when I ship things, and save my plastic shopping bags. I guess that’s about it. I could do better, huh?
Maybe I’ll plant some catnip for my cat, and try once again to grow cilantro for my rabbits, and I can always buy another patchouli plant (the last one didn’t make it through the winter inside with a cat and rabbits nibbling on it). My thumb is more brown than green.
I’d plant a tree, but our yard is already full of 'em. Including 2 that will smash our house to pieces if we don’t cut them down before too long. Besides, a tree that I would plant would probably die from my aforementioned brown thumb.
