I’m confused. On a TV “egg eating contest” show, a person drank a large number of uncooked eggs and collapsed. The commentator said that something similar had happened to this person in the past, and that the eggs had triggered a heart attack.
Huh? Why would drinking eggs give you Fibrillation? Was it just the massive influx of water? (Or maybe the commentator just had it wrong.)
I know, it’s a ten year old Zombie thread and all, but I remember reading an interview with Paul Newman many years ago, and he stated that he “never swallowed an egg” during the filming of that scene.
This thread is 12 years old so many of the people who posted on it probably aren’t monitoring it for replies. It’s considered a Zombie thread. The best way to respond to it is to start a new thread and link back to the old. It’s not necessarily a requirement but it helps warn any posters after you that the thread is old so any questions to previous posters may not have replies.
And let me be the first to point out that Zombie Eggs is an excellent name for a band.
Not if I was in the room, you couldn’t. You’d get at least 20 of them stolen while you were stuffing your face.
50 eggs in a hour? I really don’t see the impossibility here. Surely eggs are smaller (in volume) than hot dogs, bowls of chili and other foods regularly consumed in double digits in mere minutes by competitive eaters. I’m not saying *I *could/would do it, but…
