eBay Question. How does eBay know which Paypal account I want my money sent to?

I can’t find anywhere to enter my PayPal email address. If a buyer would like to pay me with Paypal, how does ebay know where to send it? Will they ask me after the auction is over? Do they assume my Paypal account email is the same I registered ebay with? Well it’s not.
Also there are “insertion fees” that are supposed to be paid via my Paypal, but eBay never asked me for my Paypal account info. I havn’t been charged any insertion fees yet. Will I get charged once the item actually sells? Or should I have paid something already just for posting it?

Oh, and are there any legit buyers left on eBay? Everyone wants to give me 2000 dollars ASAP if I use Global Express Mail and ship it right away to Nigeria
God, I am quickly getting fed up with ebay and I’ve only been selling things for a week.

Go to “My eBay,” and in the left side navigation area, under “My Account,” you’ll see a link for PayPal account information. Click on that and it takes you to a page with another link to a page where you can enter your PayPal info.

Your insertion and final transaction fees accumulate and eBay will invoice you once a month. In your seller account preferences, you can indicate if you want the invoice to be paid via PayPal, or you can link it to a credit card and pay them that way.

Oops! My bad! You associate a PayPal acct. with your eBay seller acct. through PayPal, not eBay.

Log into PayPal, click on “profile” and from there, the “auctions” link under “selling preferences.” That will take you to a page that allows you to add an eBay account, using your eBay user name.

Awesome! Thanks. It’s probably too late for the auctions I already started, though. Right?
So I will just have to tell them my Paypal email and they can send the money that way, right?

When you list an item and select to accept PayPal as a payment option, it asks you for the PayPal email address you want the payment sent to.

I’d go ahead and do it. I don’t see why it would be too late, unless the auctions are ending very soon.

If for some reason adding the eBay info to your PayPal account doesn’t take effect on auctions that are underway, I’d contact the winning bidder and ask for his/her e-mail, then use the “request money” feature in PayPal. That way, you have a record right in your PayPal account of when the money was requested, you can send them reminders, etc., and all they have to do when they get the request is click “pay now” and all the information (payment amount, shipping amount) is already filled in.

I didn’t notice that when listing the item. I’ll pay more attention next time and look for that.

Thanks guys. You all rock.
