Crap. I liked him a lot.
CNN.com just confirmed it on a “Breaking News” banner.

I thought Morley Safer or Mike Wallace would have gone long before Ed. Wasn’t Ed among the younger ones?
I didn’t even know he was sick! I’ll always remember him as the one in the 60 Minutes lineup with the earring.
Wow. I didn’t know he was that young either.
Yeah, that earring was his dintinguishing characteristic.
I hadn’t heard. 60 Minutes is one show I almost never miss.
Bradley was only 65.
Leukemia at age 65. I’m totally bummed. He was one of the most likeable, intelligent reporters on 60 Minutes. He’ll be missed by me.
How sad. I’m going to miss him, too.
I just read about it in another Dope thread and wanted to be the first to post about it here. I want all of you to share your reactions on what it was like when you first clicked on the other links and learned about it for the first time.
Truthfully, I felt denial, anger and bargaining, in that order. For me, this thread is about depression.
I’d no idea he was ill either. At least with Peter Jennings we had an idea all was not well. This just comes as much more of a shock. “Gentle giant” indeed.

Oh crap. There are other threads? Well color my face red.
Rip
Ed Bradley, to me, was a rock. In as much as I can know anyone solely by their appearances on television, I respected him completely. He had the ring of truth about him. He was brilliant, perceptive, unflappable, honest, empathetic, relentess in his calling.
This affects me deeply. The nation should mourn his passing.
I’ll sure miss him. He struck me as a very intelligent man well aware of what he was reporting. RIP.
Ender’s face
This face has been graped by the grapist! I burning your Bradley!
