A poster indicated that I would find an interesting item on the last page of this thread, (which I did).
While reading the last page, I also noticed a separate claim that the only possible reason that more Mods, (in which group I would be included), were not contributing to this thread was “cowardice.”
I posted the corrective information that there is a good chance that the lack of response might be more due to having found the thread boring, at some point, than to any purported “cowardice.” (I suspect that if more Mods had posted and happened to disagree with the OP, then the charge would be “circling the wagons,” right?)

Think? I’m supposed to know that? Is this fact listed somewhere ? Is there some logical reason that would suggest that I should be able to figure out the limitations of the internal e-mail system here?
There’s no reason that a poster can’t e-mail the mod of his choice to report a bad post in any forum. And in fact we’ve been told that mods are free to moderate any forum.
To be frank, I was under the impression at one time that e-mails to mods came into a common mailbox but you could e-mail mods privately.
Ah. On preview Frank had something to say about this. Show me the post or statement on this message board that specifically states that reported posts are limited to the forum designated mods.

God forbid this lunacy, but I have to agree with the mods on this one. They just cannot post here without being either “circling the wagons” or “stepping on each other’s hoses”.
Coming here to slam Colibri would be in very poor taste from them.
That said, being bored and keeping quiet about this should not be an option for either Colibri or Ed. Colibri already proved that you have to be careful about digging yourself even deeper. Think before you post keeps being a reasonable tip for these messes. Also, seeing mods in slap fights is never good. Mods should be brief and pointed when they post as mods. Silence, though, is not briefness to the max and laudable as such.
You may want to point out that 40% of the posts are made by 6 posters (or whatever it was). Read more carefully, though. Those are the joke sections skewing the numbers. The fact is that a lot of unusual suspects have turned up for this one. The bulk of the criticism towards Ed and Colibri and their poor decisions and now absence have come from people who normally side with them.
Ed specially, should note that his silence has not been well seen by many who use to respect him. It may suck for him to think that by responding he is somehow sullying himself with me, but that is what is expected of him.
I, for my part, don’t care much for his response for the reasons I have already mentioned here (or on the other thread). His silence is no skin off my back. It does reflect poorly on him, though. I appreciate he doesn’t want to do a Colibri and make a fool of himself with a half baked response, but a week and hundreds of posts should be more than enough for him to have a final thought on this one.
